Saw one of those “Keep Calm and Carry On” clones today in the school playground on a shopping bag. It said “Keep Calm and Carry Books”. I thought that a bit lame so in honour of the dinner created by the enigma wrapped up in a Mr. B i created my own lame version.

Ofcom recognises AsOne’s Contribution to Radio Website
The following is taken from the Latest Ofcom report for Community radio and reports the positive impact the AsOne designed and built Website and iPhone app has had on the station as well as how it compares favourably to the more wealthy commercial stations.
The launch of the new Tameside Radio website has been instrumental in driving traffic to the site. The site contains news and presenter information but also an events feature where organisers can post their own event onto the website, the site is then a source of information for presenters when constructing local links and community notice guides. Tameside Radio is, according to Google, the second most searched news source for the area on the internet. In conjunction with our website designers we have developed our own Iphone App. It has all the functionality of commercial radio apps but with an added benefit. It allows the user to access the events page of the website to see what local events are taking place and when. - Tameside Radio, Tameside

Radio station launches AsOne iPhone app
WE’VE put our iPhone app expertise to use on the streets of Tameside.
We’ve upgraded an app which we originally produced for Tameside Radio last year and added some fabulous new features.
Tameside Radio asked us to create an IPhone app so that their listeners could hear their station broadcast on-the-go live through their iPhones.
We did. And the app met with a huge response after its launch – there were 145 downloads in the first month.
Then we thought it would be good if Tameside Radio fans could download an up-to-the-minute guide of what’s on in Tameside through the app.
Tameside Radio agreed and this month we launched the upgraded app with the new ‘what’s on feature.
Already there have been over 400 downloads if the app around the world.
Said Joel Rush, Director at AsOne Design: “We’re hoping that the Tameside Radio app has as much success as our Snowi app which was released via the official Apple app store, in the run-up to Christmas. The app which allows users to ‘dress’ a snowman before sending it to friends has been downloaded over 1200 times as far afield as Saudi Arabia and Brazil.”
AsOne can work with businesses to design official iPhone apps to promote sales and growth. Talk to us on 0161 368 9100 or Visit AsOne iPhone & iPad Apps

County Brides 2010/11 annual launch tonight
Tonight county brides are launching their new magazine, but you can hardly call it that since magazine makes you think of a lightweight periodical you might pick up in your local WH Smiths. County Brides magazine is more like a catalogue in size and quality. 268 pages of articles and ideas for brides, grooms guests and everyone in between (though I didn’t notice a section for vickers, maybe next year?)
AsOne have been invited to speak about the forthcoming website we have built. It’s an exciting project that will be improved once the fantastic articles are added.
Tonight Tracey has volunteered me to do the speaking (what’s new) and I have just spread butter on my trouser leg. No that’s not a euphemism (didn’t think I could spell that did you) we stopes for a quick bite because we were early and some how I managed to get butter onto my suit. I’m going to have to stand behind a table or something?
Anyway, once it gets going I’ll try and upload some pics.
